Don't Cry For Horses...To Dubar, Ami, Danny Boy, Jaq,Emma,Awna, Cazino,Diamond, And to every horse we can not save!
Dont cry for the horses that life has set free
A million white horses forever to be
They were ours as a gift but never to keep
As they close their eyes forever to sleep
Their spirits unbound on sliver wings they fly
A million white horses against the blue sky
Look up into heaven you'll see them above
The horses we lost, the horses we loved
Manes and tails flowing they gallop through time
They were never yours they were never mine
Dont cry for the horses they will be back someday
When our time has come they will show us the way.
Do you hear that soft nicker close to your ear?
Dont cry for the horses love the ones that are here..
A million white horses forever to be
They were ours as a gift but never to keep
As they close their eyes forever to sleep
Their spirits unbound on sliver wings they fly

Miss Doc DuBar "DuBar"
Reg Quarter horse Mare 37 years old
There is so much to say about this mare . She was the first horse the owner fell in love with. The owner worked at the barn that owned Dubar just to spend time with her. She knew her for 11 years before DuBar became her's on Christmas 2004. She was the rescue's first horse.
She taught the owner everything about horses. She was a spirit that could not be broken. She foaled the farms first foal/stud Aug 31 2006.
She took care of every child that came to the rescue and treated every horse as her own.
Everyone at the rescue had their own connection with her. And everyone loved her dearly.
Because of this mare we all push forward (Even in her passing) to save other horses and find loving homes for them. Because of the love that was shared between DuBar and the rescue's owner, Deb, we all push on to help others learn and find that love between horse and rider. There is nothing better or stronger then that of the love from a horse!
DuBar was rescued Dec 21st 2004 and sadly passed away Oct 30th 2010
In our hearts and memories forever!
A big thank you to Dan and Helena Blair who felt it only right to hand dig this wonderful horses grave!
Also a big thanks to Jeremy France, Paula Coffman, and Angela Miller for all being there (No matter how hard it was) to say goodbye to this wonderful mare in her time of need!

Emma (Formally known as Hannah), TB Mare. 28 years old
Emma lived across the street from our rescue for over a year. All the workers and friends would sneak over and give her extra grain and treats.
The owners of Emma would feed her 3-4 times a week. She had no shelter in her field, no hay and no grass. We tried to get the owners to sign her over to us since the day she was brought to them.
Sadly it took them almost two years to sign her over to us. She had been beaten by them at this point. She had climbed out of her field to get to grass many times, and now has a life long leg injury from it.
She was around 600lbs when she was signed over to us.
She was then taken care of by the rescue for over a year. She was adopted by Amanda Vayda, who owned her for a year. Amanda helped Emma to learn how to trust again. When Amanda fell into some hard times She returned Emma to the rescue. ( She still visited Emma every chance she had.)
Emma was with the rescue for another 5 months when Laura Pratt and Matt Jackson come along and fell in love with her. Laura Pratt owned her for about a years time and kept her boarded at the rescue.
But Emma was getting old and Laura knew this. So with the help of the rescue we have found Emma a forever home on a 46 acre cow ranch with an older couple and their grand daughter. She is being spoiled and loved dearly! Thank you very much adopter,Ray Smith.
With the help from Amanda Vayda, Laura Pratt and her husband Matt Jackson the rescue has been able to rescue and re home more horses.
Sadly the rescue was informed Jan 27th 2011 that our sweet little Emma passed away. She was a spirit that couldn't be broken, and a horse that could teach many. The things this sweet mare thought us and the struggle we all went through with her will live on here at the rescue. We will continue to move on, but never forget what Emma thought us and did for us.
RIP Emma you are missed and greatly loved. Live on in heaven pain free our sweet angel!

Danny Boy (Formally known as Hank) TB Gelding, 24 years old
Danny boy was a beautiful and wonderful lesson horse not even a year ago.
A woman who also rescued horses and that we at the rescue knew, passed away and left a Fresian in our name. When we went to go pick him up we saw the worst looking horse out of all four of them. The rescue asked them what his story was and they told us that they would never get any money out of him and no one wanted him so next week they would have him put down. We talked it over and we told them that we did not want the horse that was left in our name (a healthy beautiful horse) but that we wanted Danny Boy instead.
They signed him over to us telling us that we had to keep him on the same feeds they were using and all the supplements that he was used to. They claimed he was getting 3 scoops of senior feed 2x a day. They told us that if we changed his feed in anyway he would lose weight very fast.
Since then we have had him he has been eating 1 scoop of safe choice, half scoop rolled oats, half scoop corn and 2 cups flax seed 2x a day.
He has already put on 123lbs in a little over 2 weeks!
Danny Boy is getting the food he needs and all the love he could ever want. He still has a long road ahead of him, but with the help of the workers here at DuBar's Corner he will fast be on his way to a new forever loving home!!!
Due to lack of care the rescue found that Danny Boy had mold in his private areas and in his mouth. The rescue was able to get Danny to put on weight and was able to start cleaning him, but Danny was to far underweight and an infection had started. Sadly the morning of Dec 11th 2010 the rescue came out to find that Danny Boy had passed away. He was a hard one for the rescue to lose, everyone at the rescue put a lot of work into him and wanted to see him go to a loving home. But he passed away knowing he was loved dearly (even though DuBar's Corner only had him for 1 month). He had a good meal 2x a day and was groomed every other day. He will be missed greatly. RIP sweet Danny Boy. We are all sad to see you go like this.
A big THANK YOU to the rescue's neighbor's Jim and Paula who helped the rescue dig a proper grave for this sweet little man.
Also a big thanks to Amanda Vayda, Paula Coffman and Chris Moog for being there to help say goodbye to this sweet little horse.
In our hearts and memories for ever. RIP Danny Boy.

Mon Ami "Ami" TB Mare, 30 years old
Mon Ami, known at the rescue as Ami.
She was a former race horse, and a very beloved horse here at the rescue. She taught most of our workers here how to ride.
When the rescue got her she had the worst case of rain rot and bad knees, so bad that they were chipping away and pieces of her knee bones were floating through her blood. She had bad lungs and a bad heart and was 300lbs underweight when the rescue got her.
The lady told us that she had tried to sell her for the past 6 months and no one wanted her, then she tried giving her away and no one wanted her still. So her last choice was the slaughter house. That's when the rescue stepped in and we took her back to our home, where she lived out the rest of her years teaching young and old riders and raising a few foals as well.
With the care of the rescue and the help from the vet Ami got rid of her heart and lung problems. Her chipping bones where slowed down, and the rain rot was never to be seen again. Sadly though her back bone slowly started to fade away and one sad night Ami fell and could not get back up. The whole rescue team was there to hold her and say good bye, as we waited on the vet.
Ami died peacefully on April 29th 2010. She was a great mare, an amazing teacher and a trusted friend. She will be greatly missed by us all here at the rescue. But her memory will live on. And we will keep telling the stories of our second rescue.
A big thanks to Matt Jackson, Laura Pratt, Jeremy France, Paula Coffman and Savannah Fincher for being there to say goodbye to this wonderful mare in her last moments with us.
R.I.P Mon Ami. In our hearts till the end of time!

Delilah (Formally known as Rosie) Wild Mustang, 5 years old
A wild mustang adopted and brought to the rescue by a farm hand.
She came from Ronnie Ford Mustang training, she was afraid to go through gates, put a halter on, come near a human...
The mare was very badly beaten and very scared to even look at a human.
The owner of this scared mare took time everyday to try and show her that everything would be alright, but as time went on the mare did not change at all. She was very jumpy and spooky around humans. The rescue was finally able to get a saddle on the mare and a rider.
Even still Delilah had a very long and bumpy road ahead of her. Her owner, with a heavy heart, thought it best to give her to the rescue. Her owner had a 1 year old daughter and a husband so she could not spend as much time as she wanted or knew she needed to spend with this scared mare.
The rescue kept working with her for a few months after that. She was finally shipped over to her new home, where she is being trained and worked with every day. She has a loving home with a man named Scott.

Dynamite Quarter Horse, 3 years old
Dynamite was given to the rescue by a women that was keeping him for a friend but wanted him gone to get a new horse. He was beaten very badly, and was left as something only for looks.
He had a club foot that was never attended to. And a hole under his jaw.
The rescue took him in for 3 months and sent him back to his real owner, and he has since been sold and is now in a loving home, getting trained and getting the care that was needed!

Sophie. (Formally known as Lily) Appaloosa 18 years old
Sophie's story is a sad one. She was left out in a pasture with no grass or hay, and barely any water. Their were 7 other horses in the field with her and when her former owners would feed them it was a free for all, strongest horse got the feed.
She was 300lbs under weight when the rescue found her. No one wanted her because she had a blind eye, from lack of care.
Her former owner's children tied her tail to their barbwire fence so she had no tail (She is still working on growing it back to this day). They also pulled her mane out which has caused her to nervously scratch it against trees and therefore keeps it short.
She had a former barrel racing injury to her back hip.
She was also with foal, but since she did not get what she was needing her foal(Jaq) was stillborn 06-07-08. He was a wonderful black, gray and white paint. He will always be remembered. A sweet life unlived.
Here at the rescue, she has put on her weight and is now our best lesson horse, she has also given birth to a beautiful filly, granddaughter to the founding horse, DuBar, our little Tsuki.

Cazino (Formally known as A.J.)TB Gelding, 25 Years old
After his time on the track Cazino was sent to a stable where he was used as a lesson horse. He was then given to a lady that had 10 acres and wanted a horse to look at. She felt bad for him that he was sitting in her pasture just wasting away, so she gave him to a friend down the road. After 5 months she went to go visit him and he was over 200lbs under weight, he had cuts all over him, and he would not let you come close to him. After a long battle she finally got him back, but could not afford to keep him. She called the rescue and we went and picked him up. He was still a little under weight, but he is doing great now. He is a main trail horse for DuBar's Corner and a baby sitter for the kids who come and want to ride.
Sadly on March 24 2011 Cazino passed away. He went peacefully in his sleep. He was a old boy, and one of the rescue's finest! He thought many, and his memories and what he gave us will live on forever!
A big thanks to Travis Redner, Jeremy France and Helena Blair for being there in his passing.

Owned by the rescue's own Paula Coffman
He was left in a 10 acre grass pasture. Fed 4 scoops of grain 3x a day. Never worked. When the rescue got him he was over weight, a weird case for us here.
He was worked and re-trained and back in shape.
After a few months of being at the rescue Paula Coffman adopted him.

Ima Bar Enhancer"SageJa"
Reg Paint Stallion 4 Years old
Dam=Miss Doc DuBar Sire=Enhancer's Image
SageJa is one of our very few non rescues. He is the son of the rescues first horse/rescue. He will forever carry the blood of DuBar, the rescues founding horse.
SageJa is now one of our standing studs, a registered paint and the proud father of our little Tsuki. He is affectionately known around the farm as "Eeyore" by consistantly showing his lack of ambition in the riding ring and successfully debunking the myth that stallions are difficult and unruly.

ShyEnne(Formally known as Punkin) Lipp/Draft 7 Years old Owned by the Rescue's own Jeremy France
ShyEnne was left alone in a pasture for 2 years, never touched. She had her feed thrown out to her. Others had tried to train her, but claimed she was wild. Everyone told us at the rescue that she was nothing better then glue.
Her former owner's children used her as a paint ball target and she had many cuts that needed vet care from their barbwire fence.
Dubar's Corner owner, Deb Blair, saw something else in her.
After 6 months of working with her, we were riding her.
She is now used as a lesson and trail horse and can be ridden English or Western and loves to jump.

KoVu (Formally known as Buckwheat) Double reg paint stallion 4 years old
Kovu was sent to the rescue from his former owner due to the fact that she was moving and she had 3 other older mares, and where she was moving to there was only 1 pasture. She still comes and visits the rescue and her old Stallion.
When he came to us he had a broken jaw and a infection in his gum's (Unknown by his former owner), he was more then likely kicked by a mare and he never showed signs of pain. After having one tooth pulled and a good dose of antibiotics, he is ready to ride.
He is now a standing stud at the rescue and a child's horse as well.

PayGe (Formally known as Outlaw) Wild Mustang 11 years old
Dubar's Corner owner, Deborah Blair, knew PayGe for 5 years. She met her at a barn she worked at and never thought she would see her again.
Later, when she found her again, the current owner gave her to Deborah. The man then told her the story as to why he ended up with her. PayGe's former owner's had bred her, and never handled her so she was still wild. They would chase her and beat her with lead ropes. One time they were chasing her (while she was in foal) she fell very hard, and lost her foal. She spent 3 years with the man the rescue got her from and was gentled enough to get a halter on, it is still hard to get near her.
The rescue is looking for a place to set her free. On Jan 15 2011 Payge found a lady to go live out her life with. But the rescue, with heavy hearts, had to go and pick her up once again only 2 months after she got there. Payge has been to 5 different place and everyone checks out and they only want a horse to look at but once they get her they always get mad that they can't even touch her....

Maggie(Formally known as Dolly) Quarter horse/Arab mare 9 years old
This little mare was a mans dream. He owned her till the day he died!
She ran cows for this man. After the man died his wife didn't want Maggie there any longer, so she was given to a friend of the rescue. They were trying to move so they called the rescue, we went out there and did some tests on Maggie (To see how safe and non-spook she was.)
She was a little underweight and had no muscles. The rescue had her for 7 months. When she became with foal by the rescues own stud KoVu, she adopted some ground manner problems. She kicked and bit, and when you were on her if you asked for a run she would side kick.
The rescue worked with her as much as they could to help get her problems fixed. She had been up for adoption for more then 5 months, no one wanted to work through Maggie's problems.
Finally a AMAZING couple came out and they fell in love with not only Maggie but also one of the rescue's goats!
Maggie was their daughter's first horse, and Christmas gift.
Thank you Bud and Janet for letting us be apart of your Christmas and for giving Maggie the home that she was needing!
Maggie is now giving the children rides to their school bus and enjoying the one on one attention she so richly deserves.

Joe (Formally known as Whizy) Reg Quarter horse/TB Gelding 15 years old
Joe is an ex cow horse. He was left out in a field of cows, with hardly any grass and no hay. He was getting fed very little, because he had to fight with the cows to get a meal. His owner was going to move him from her pasture to a boarding barn and pay the first months board and then just leave him there. A friend of Joe's former owner called the rescue and we went and picked him up.
He was retrained after he retired from being a cutting horse, to a barrel horse.
He is still used for shows, for the rescue's students and owner.
He has put on all his weight and muscle, and is a amazing lesson and trail horse now.

Riot (Formally known as WildFire) Quarter horse/TB Gelding 6 years old
Riot was said to be a wild child. No one could ride him.
When the rescue got him he had his problems. He was very pushy on the ground and when a rider was on him he would throw his head and try and knock you out.
After just a few short weeks he has learned his ground manners and he is now one of the farm favorites to ride!
Adopted by Angela Peters.

VaGus (Also known as Penny) Quarter horse/Mustang Mare 22 years old
A ex barrel and pole horse, VaGus doesn't act her age at all.
She was left out in a field with no hay or grass. She was there just to look at. Her owner was getting tired of paying so much for a horse she would never use, so she called the rescue.
When VaGus got to DuBar's Corner she had a leg injury, where she would limp even at a slow walk. Some days she could not stand. With the help of supplements and the rescue's Amanda Vayda messaging her muscles she leg is back to normal and has not had any more problems.
She is now used for more advanced students in pole and barrel shows.recieved
Vagus's story took a turn on us on Jan 26th 2011. The rescue got a call from Vagus's former owner. She informed the rescue that the lady we had gotten Vagus from did not own her and had no right giving away her horse! She had found that we had Vagus here at the rescue when she saw a add we had up for her. She came out to the rescue and re adopted her former love!
Vagus is now back with her rightful owner.
Adopted Jan 26th 2011
Thank you Laney for giving us a chance to know this wonderful mare! Please Love her like you once did, The rescue misses her dearly but knows she is finally back with her rightful owner once again!

Lucy (Formally known as Annie) Reg Quarter horse Mare 19 years old
Lucy wasn't the normal rescue we get here at DuBar's Corner but its still a sad one. She was in nice shape, but her owners left her out to pasture for over a year. Never riding her, going to the barn to see her, grooming her. It was all emotional damage that was done to Lucy. The rescue's own Amanda Vayda saw her and fell in love! The other workers here at the rescue went and picked up Lucy for Amanda as a gift and a Thank you for all she has done for the rescue. They both enjoy long trails together, and are learning new things each day!!
Sadly 4/28/11 Amanda had to give Lucy back to the rescue due to lack of money.

Jaq born and died 06-07-08
Jaq was a Appaloosa paint colt. His mother was the rescue's own Sophie. He was the very first horse the rescue had to bury. Because of the lack of care that was given to his mother he was sadly a still born. (He was still so very beautiful!)
People have told us many times that these are just animals, they have no feelings. But we had to take this little foals lifeless body away from his mother, and we had to hear her cry out for her son. We heard her cry for days, and saw her looking for him. She (Like any other mother) felt the pain of loosing her child! And we could do nothing to help ease her pain...
RIP Jaq

Felicity (Formally known as Destiny) 10 year old Quarter horse Mare
Felicity came from a abusive home. Owned by a man who thought "Cowboying" a horse was how you trained them. So for years all Felicity knew was a mean hand and harsh words. She was re homed to a woman who wanted her only for breeding. The lady soon found out Felicity would not take to her studs and called the rescue. We have been working with her, getting her ground manners back. And working her under saddle. Her training is coming along very nicely.
Skylor (Formally known as Cheyenne) 8 year old Reg Arab/ Paint mare.
Skylor came to the rescue Jan 14 2011. Her owner had her since she was 5 months old. She was trained when she was 5 years old. And used as just a trail horse. Her owner was scared of her and she sat in her field alone. No one did anything with her, besides feed her. She was over weight when she came to the rescue, from getting as much grain and hay as she was and getting no work.
She came to the rescue because her owners were tired of spending the money on her that they didn't have. Also her owners were scared of her, She had broken her old owners ankle at one point in time.
She had no respect for humans when she got to the rescue. She would run over all the workers at the rescue and was scared of everything! She has gone out on a few trail rides since we have gotten her and she is doing much better with her ground manners!
Skylor has fast become a farm favorite here! She still has a few fears, but what rescue is fearless!!? We are crossing our fingers and holding our breathes for that wonderful day when the prefect person comes around and gives Skylor the home she is needing where she can run all day and be used to everything she has!
After looking(For what seemed like years) for a home for Skylor the rescue has finally found a wonderful loving home!
She was adopted 4/15/2011 to a family where she will be the first horse for two sweet young girls. Where she will learn so much from then and she will teach them so much as well!!! It was hard for everyone to say goodbye to Skylor (Everyone at the rescue put alot into her and watched her over come so many fears) but we all know she will be so much happier!!

Emily (Formally known as Cally) 22 year old Reg Appaloosa mare
Emily came to our rescue Feb 1st 2011. She was a girls first horse. Emily taught her a lot and was very gentle and understanding. She is blind in her left eye, she rolled in shavings and they were poorly cut. A sharp edge of a shaving went through her eye, and made her blind!
Her old family had her for over 7 years. But the young girl was getting older and needed a faster horse for what she wanted to do. They soon rescued a younger Arab gelding that would soon run barrels for her. And in doing so they had no time for Emily and needed to find her a good forever home. They emailed us here at the rescue and told us Emily's story. They wanted nothing but for their little mare to go to someone who would love her and use her, so she wouldn't just waste away. It was hard for the rescue to take Emily away from her loving family but everyone knew that she would be happier and better off at a new home. Not because of any lack of care, food or love. Just for the lack of time that her busy owners did not have. But now she is were she will be used on lite duty for kids on the trails and her old owners will be able to come and visit her at any time they want!
We will be keeping Emily here at the rescue forever. She is a amazing kids horse and loves going out on the trails! We are very thankful and blessed to have been called about such a wonderful little mare!
Her old family will still come and visit the little mare that taught them so much, and they will be able to see how just in a very short time she has become a farm favorite!

Awna (Formally known as Stella) 22 year old Reg TB mare
Awna at her old home, where she was forced to wear a muzzle and 2 crib collarsAwna was one of the worst cases we have had here at the rescue. When we went to see her she was in a very small stall, made out of broken wood and barbwire... In the middle of a sand pasture with no covering. She was said to be a very bad cribber, so her old owner had not only a muzzle on her but 2 crib collars. She left all of these things on her even when feeding her! She got 1 scoop of feed 2x a day. There was no grass and no hay. Her water was in a frying pan! And she was to share it with 3 other horses. She was around 400lbs under weight. She had cuts all over her body. Her mane and skin was rubbed off from where the crib collars sat on her, and were never taken off.
When the rescue took her we through away all of her cribbing collars and muzzle. Awna NEVER touched our wood. The only part of her old owners wood that was cribbed on was a fence that behind it was all the bales of hay! It took her around 3 months to start picking up weight. And to start trusting. She was a wonderful mare! She loved going out on trails, and loved running. But she needed to go where she could have more love to help get over everything that had happened to her! She was soon adopted by Summer Smith and her Family, Where she will now live out her days loved and very happy.
Sadly on March 21 2011 the rescue was informed that Awna took a turn for the worst this pass winter and passed away.
She will be missed but at least we can say her last year was with people who loved and cared for her.
A big thanks to her family, who made her passing much easier!
Diamond In The Rough"Diamond" (Formally known as Cookie) Quarter horse mare, 37 years old.
Diamond came to the rescue due to the fact that her former owner was moving and did not think she would be able to make the trip.
Where Diamond's owner got her from they told her that if she wanted Diamond not to ask any questions about how she got to look this way.
She has a deep cut in her left hind leg. (The cause is unknown.)
Since it went so long untreated(Over a few months) all 4 of her legs are now swollen. (From having to hold her hurt leg off the ground the other legs are under more pressure.)
We have been able to get the cut looking better and the swelling has gone down over 40% in just 48 hours. She was around 400lbs under weight when she came to the rescue. But is steadily picking the weight and muscle back but. Because of her poor diet Diamond's coat is matted and dull. But in time she will have a wonderful golden coat once again.
Diamond's story is very sad one. But she is one of the sweetest horses we have ever had here at DuBar's Corner. We are hoping that when the time is right and Diamond is back to health she will find her perfect match and forever home.
She is amazing with kids. A GREAT first horse to teach young ones on!! Our little Diamond in the rough is waiting for someone to see her true beauty. She is needing someone that can love her no matter how many scars she may have.
She holds a special place in everyone's hearts' here at DuBar's Corner and only the BEST home is needed for this loving mare!
Sadly on the afternoon of April 19th 2011 the Rescue's worker found Diamond laying in her pen trying to get up. Fighting to stand, but not finding the strength.
With a heavy heart and tears in every worker's eyes the call was made to have Diamond in the Rough put down.
It was her time to go, but no one wanted to see her go this way. She lived her last days at the rescue as if she were a dog. Diamond followed everyone around and came when she was called.
She will be missed, but she is now with the great ones that have gone on before her!! RIP Our sweet lil' Diamond in the Rough. Everyone at the rescue saw her true beauty and even though it had to end so hard, everyone at DuBar's Corner is glad they got the chance to love her and call her their own!
A big thanks to Bill Kopke (Who came out on short notice to bury Diamond.) Jeremy France, Amanda Vayda, Laura Pratt, and Travis Redner. Thank you all for making her passing not only easier on the rescue, but for her!

Toki (Formally known as Mocha) 15 year old quarter horse

Luna (formally known as Bianca ) 13 year old Arab
Luna was once used as a youth camp horse along with the rescue's other horse Toki. She was then sold to a woman who wanted a trail horse. She lived a year with her new owner untill she was found out in a pasture all skin and bone. She was so weak ,when MaryAnn Price came to pick her up, that she could barely walk. Mary Ann runs a horse rescue as well but specializes in Mustangs. She got Luna back up to wait and called us here at the rescue. Luna had nothing wrong with her when she came to the rescue, Mary Ann just didn't a good riding horse to go to waste.
Luna has shocked us all on how GREAT of a trail horse she is!

Travis"T.J." (Formally known as Tucker) 15 year old Quarter horse gelding.
Not much is known about TJ. His former owner just did not want him and set him free on the road. A friend of the rescue found him wondering and caught him. She then called us and told us this horse had been loose for over a week and he needed our help.
Over the past months that T.J has been with us here at the rescue EVERYONE has fallen in love with his sweet personality and his gentle ride.
He really is the all american horse. He can cut cows, rope, pole bend, barrel race, dressage, jumping but his all time favorite is just taking a nice long trail ride!
Lilithe (Formally known as Georgia) 25 year old Appaloosa/TB/Quarter horse.
The rescue was called out to save Lilithe from her owners friend.
When the rescue got to where she was the workers heard many different stories on why she looked the way she did. The first one was that she (And the other horse on the property) was not their's. That a guy moved and left Lilithe behind. The lady's friend went and picked Lilithe up because she felt bad for the horse. (They had told the rescue at this point the horse had been left there for over 6 months.) Then the story changed to this horse had been their's at one time and they had given her to the man that left her and he was supposed to have been sending them money every month for feed and hay and he was not doing that so they needed her to go to a new home.
There was another horse there that was in worse shape then Lilithe(They would not sign him over, So the rescue called and filed a complaint with the sheriffs dept.)
The women claimed she boarded these two horses at another friends house(And she did not own the land they where on,) but she had other horses that were very fat, unlike these two.
The whole time the workers where there with the people they knew something was not right and the stories where not lining up and matching. But who will ever know the real truth behind any rescue... All we know is we are fighting right along side Lilithe to help her regain all her weight so she can soon be up for adoption!!
Lilithe's story has started falling into place due to wonderful people that knew her in her racing days. She has gone to jr. world, and is a AMAZING barrel racer. Once she is back up to health and ready for her new home, she will make some young child a great first barrel horse.
